Financial wunderkind Ken (Louis Koo) and hotshot police detective Jerry (Daniel Wu) meet as competitors at a shooting competition. After the competition, Ken encounters an armed robbery on the highway and uses his gun to take down several of the criminals. Under the strict firearm laws of Hong Kong, Jerry files charges against Ken, who manages to escape conviction. However, Jerry is not convinced that Ken is completely innocent and goes to his mentor Miu (Alex Fong Chung Sun) for advice. Meanwhile, Ken's stress from juggling work and the two women in his life (Charlene Choi and Li Bing Bing) is starting to wear him down psychologically.
